My life has been a mix of privilege and struggle. I’ve stood in incredible rooms and walked through some hard valleys. Those extremes built my resilience and deepened my empathy. I’ve learned that success helps you survive, but fulfillment helps you feel alive.

When I was 7, my family moved from South Africa to America, the land I imagined was filled with wide-open ranches, big skies, and cowboys everywhere. I expected to land right in the middle of a western movie. Spoiler alert: I didn’t. But that dream of freedom stuck with me. It shaped who I became.
By 12, I was riding horses competitively, with wind in my face and nothing but possibility ahead. My dad was an entrepreneur, always chasing the next idea, the next big move. I inherited that drive, that hunger to go all in.
By 22, I was the youngest manager hired at Charles Schwab, leading a team of 24 stockbrokers. Then I joined an internet startup as head of client services and sales. We went public, everyone got rich, and in theory, it was everything I wanted.
But it didn’t feel like it.
All I’d ever known was chasing money, titles, and recognition. When I finally hit my goal of becoming a millionaire by 30, I felt completely empty. Achievement without alignment will break you.
That was my wake-up call. Chasing significance externally never creates peace internally.
My life began to unravel. By 2008, I had lost everything and I was living in a storage unit. It was devastating, but it was also a clean slate.
I’d always wanted to be a REALTOR®. Back in my corporate days, I owned investment properties and was never impressed by the service I received. I kept thinking, If I could bring what I know about shaping an exceptional client experience into real estate, this business could look completely different. But I never had the courage to leave the “safe” jobs.
Until there was nothing left to lose.
I rebuilt from the ground up.
With no network and no safety net, I built my business from scratch during the market crash. I started by posting Craigslist ads
for foreclosures and built my reputation by overdelivering for every client. I knew what rebuilding felt like, and that empathy became my advantage. My focus was simple: give more in value than I take in payment.
That philosophy, from my favorite book, “The Go-Giver” By Bob Burg and John David Mann, still guides everything I do.
Over time, though, I caught myself slipping back into old patterns. I was chasing bigger numbers and burning out in the process. I was repeating the same story. I asked myself a better question: What if I built this differently?
That’s when everything shifted.
I stopped measuring success by sales and started measuring it by connection…By how deeply I could impact people in a real, human way. That’s how success becomes sustainable. I began leading with what I now call “People Before Properties.”
My mother taught me the value of authentic relationships. My father taught me drive and discipline. Together, those lessons became the foundation for everything I teach and live by today.
Now, I’m in the top 1% of agents nationwide, with more than 95% of my business coming from repeat clients and referrals from clients. The fulfillment of helping people I genuinely care about means more to me than any dollar amount ever could. And that same spirit drives me to give back to my community, my team, and the causes that matter most.
To share this philosophy, I wrote my book Top of Heart, which became an Amazon #1 bestseller. It’s about showing up fully: present, authentic, and human. My job isn’t just helping people find homes. It’s helping them feel at home in their decisions.
Outside of work, I’m living my childhood dream riding horses daily and competing in show jumping. My husband, Adrian, is my anchor and my biggest supporter, keeping everything running behind the scenes so I can stay focused on serving, writing, and riding.
I’m grateful for my story, for every high and every heartbreak. Those moments taught me what real success feels like: not
achievement, but fulfillment.
In today’s market, anyone can go online, browse listings, and get a sense of what fits their needs and budget. But that’s not where my value comes in. My role is to protect your investment once we find the right home. That means spotting potential concerns before you commit, writing offers that reflect your priorities, and negotiating every detail with precision. I’m a Master Certified Negotiation Expert, trained by one of the top negotiators in the country. Sometimes that means getting you the lowest price possible. Other times, it’s making an impossible deal come together. Ultimately, my job from day one is to advocate for you and protect your largest asset.
For sellers, I apply the same high-level approach to every listing, no matter the price point. I follow a proven “Four P’s” process: Prepare, Preview, Produce, and Promote. I take time to get your home ready, present your home at its absolute best, and preview it to the market place. Then we build momentum before launch, and produce standout media, including 3D tours, video, and drone. Last, we promote it strategically to the right buyers, not just the most buyers. I treat every listing like a luxury listing, because luxury is not about price, it’s about service. And service is where I never cut corners.
Sincerely,

Grant Muller
