Denver is the capital of Colorado and is known as “The Mile High City” since its elevation is exactly one mile above sea level. It is the most populated city in the state and has tons to offer its residents, from arts, sports, food, and more.
Denver was originally founded in 1858 as a gold mining town, and the city became a travel hub in the early twentieth century. After World War II, oil and gas companies flocked there, causing it to go from a small urban area surrounded by farms to a major city with a booming downtown.
Due to the era’s the city was populated, home styles range from Victorian, Tudor, Colonial Revival, and the Denver Square. Houses range from single-family homes costing close to a million dollars to mansions ranging in the multi-millions.

Denver gives you the fast-paced living style of a city with plenty of nature and an outdoor vibe. It’s a health-conscious city focusing highly on fitness with plenty of outdoor sports and activities year-round, including biking and hiking in the summer and skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating in the winter.
The average age skews younger since there is so much to do within the city. There is incredible nightlife and plenty of top-notch breweries and live music to partake in. Denver’s airport is also a significant hub offering resources to travel worldwide.

Denver has a vast food scene offering plenty of high-end restaurants. They have tons of variety, like the French Canadian-inspired Au Feu Brasserie. Street Feud offers cuisine inspired by Mediterranean, Latin, and Asian cultures. A5 Steakhouse has the finest wagyu beef and seafood around, and if your looking for a taste of New York, then look no further than The Greenwich.
As far as entertainment, you can spend the night laughing at one of the two Comedy Works locations. Check out the different exhibitions at the Denver Art Museum or head over to the RiNo district for some local street art. Or immerse yourself in the music scene at one of the various venues, such as the famous red rock amphitheater.

The Botanical Gardens are a must-see and offer you a relaxing walk by some of the most gorgeous sculptures, pools, and gardens or check out the Denver Zoo, which has been a city staple since the 1890s.
If you’re a sports lover, make sure to take in some baseball at Coors Field, home to the Colorado Rockies, or a football game at Empower Field, home to the Denver Broncos. It’s sure to be a fun day for the whole family.
