Welcome to Westminster

A suburban city close to city life
Before Westminster became a city, it was inhabited by local animals such as buffalo and antelope. It was initially founded in the 1850s as farmlands that evolved over time in apple orchards. It wasn’t until the need for veteran housing and the opening of The Rocky Flats Plant in the 1950s that the population of Westminster started rising, and the city became a more popular living destination.
Nowadays, Westminster is a thriving city and popular among families for the suburban living it offers. With views of The Rockies and big cities just a short trip away, this city is a great environment to keep you connected while allowing you freedom from city life.
